Creating Skills

A Skill teaches an AI agent how to carry out a task, learned from patterns in one or more of your uploaded sessions. This page walks through generating one.

1. Go to the Skill Library

From the dashboard, open Skills in the navigation, then click Create skill.

2. Select sessions

Choose one or more completed sessions to generate the Skill from. The more sessions you include, especially ones that show variations of the same task, the more robust the resulting Skill will be.

3. Name and describe the Skill

Give the Skill a name, and optionally a description to provide context that guides generation (for example, what the task is for, or edge cases to pay attention to). A good, specific description is worth taking the time to write: it directly helps generation produce a more accurate Skill.

Click Create skill to start generation.

4. Wait for generation to finish

A new Skill starts as Generating and becomes Ready to use once generation completes. Generation usually takes 5 to 10 minutes, on top of the 5 to 10 minutes it took to process the sessions it draws from. You can navigate away and check back from the Skill Library at any time.

Refining a Skill

Skills can be improved over time. Open a Skill and click Refine skill to add more sessions and regenerate it. This is useful if the underlying workflow has changed, or if you want to cover more variations of the task.

Next Steps

Once a Skill is Ready to use, you can download it and add it to your AI agent.
